Liberty Disaster Relief

February 2009 Update - Currently we have a food pantry and clothes closet here in Liberty, but we need more space.  We have collected over 30,000 pounds of food so far in 2009 and are getting it out all over the community.  Some folks aren't able to drive to In As Much to get food. We are able to get the resources TO the people in need.  Please give us a call if you need help.  And if you don't, then please help us help others. We are planning for another major event in the park this Spring. FREE City-Wide Garage Sale! Was held at Ruth Moore Park on Saturday, October 6, 2007 (401 N. Morse Ave. - the spray park on Mississippi by the fire station) This event was open to anyone living within the Liberty school district.  The day began at 9:00am when parents/guardians within the school district showed up to get things for their families.  We needed help unloading the truck - so they stepped up to help us unload the 28' truck we had rented.  The truck took us several hours to load the night before - but with the help of everybody - we got it unloaded within 45 minutes.    We had been collecting all kinds of donations in the days prior and it was remarkable what we were provided with to bless those in need in Liberty.  A lot of families in Liberty and the surrounding areas went through their homes and gave what they didn't need anymore to help someone else.  We also accepted financial donations - we gave 100% of what was given to the Liberty Public Schools Social Workers Fund in order to be used by Liberty Academy and the Public Schools.
